• Shift: Weekend day coverage — 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Setting: Inpatient, Surgical Specialties Unit — general surgery and trauma adult patient populations (inpatient NP, trauma NP)
• Support Staff: Nursing support provided
• EMR: eClinicalWorks (EcW)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,310 - $3,930 per week

Required Qualifications — Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Texas)

• Active Texas Nurse Practitioner license (required) — Texas NP jobs, Dallas nursing jobs
• Acute Care Adult Nurse Practitioner certification required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Minimum 1 year of acute care or surgical specialties clinical experience (inpatient experience preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills in an inpatient hospital setting
• Ability to collaborate effectively with on-call surgeons and multidisciplinary teams (surgical NP, trauma consults)

Responsibilities — Inpatient Acute Care & Surgical NP Duties

• Provide inpatient admissions, consultations, and discharges for general surgery and trauma adult patients
• Collaborate with on-call surgeons for emergency department and elective general surgery / Level 3 trauma consults
• No first assist (FA) duties required
• Document timely and accurate patient care in the EMR (eClinicalWorks)
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment
