Lakewood health center with privileges in outpatient, inpatient, and long term care settings. Primary hours and time spent in clinic with some but fewer hours spent on the other 2 settings!

Experience and learn as much as you can serving an FQHC by treating holistically and advocating for health equity.

Palliative care experience in the hospital/ acute setting. I have discussions and support for pt and families with chronic and serious illness.

In hospital setting focused on goals of care conversations, symptom management, and hospice discussions. Focus on advanced care planning at a basic lvl for PCP or Medicare visits and more comprehensive lvl visits with severe illness or crisis situation.

Nurse practitioner–owned, direct endocrine focused care practice in Mokena, Illinois, operating under full practice authority. The practice focuses on endocrine, hormonal, metabolic, and pain-related conditions using a blend of evidence-based, integrative, and functional medicine. The direct care model allows for longer visit times, in-depth assessments, and comprehensive patient education. NP students gain experience in full-scope outpatient care, including history and physical exams, diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, patient counseling, and longitudinal care management. The direct care model allows for extended visit times, supporting comprehensive assessment, diagnostic reasoning, individualized treatment planning, and patient-centered education. NP students participate in full-scope outpatient care, including history and physical examinations, interpretation of laboratory data, development and implementation of plans of care, chronic disease management, and longitudinal follow-up. The preceptorship emphasizes core NP competencies in clinical judgment, evidence-based practice, patient-centered communication, professionalism, ethical practice, and independent role development under direct supervision by an experienced NP preceptor.
